APPOINTMENT
Lake Tapps Veterinary Hospital

Lake Tapps Veterinary Hospital

After serving her community for many, many years, the well-loved Dr. Susan Davison sold her business to WellHaven Pet Health in 2019 and no longer is practicing medicine. We began our journey at this hospital in March of 2021 and are loving serving this community. We are located in the beautiful-serene area of Lake Tapps on Veterans Memorial Drive across from the post office and
police/fire station. We have been working hard to refresh and update our hospital with more remodeling to come. We have learned a lot during Covid and found the quieter we keep our hospital the happier are patients are. Our lobby is closed to general traffic. When you arrive at our facility you will call to get checked in whether you are picking up medications or here for an appointment. We will then give you the option of coming in for your appointment or receive full curbside service. We look forward to seeing you and helping with your pet’s needs.

Dr. Krystal Oronia

Veterinarian

Dr. Oronia joined us in January of 2022 and we are thrilled to have her!
She is a Bonney Lake local that is happy to be working with the people and pets of her hometown. Throughout her childhood her family had cats and dogs and she aspired to become a veterinarian because of them. After high school, she moved to eastern Washington where she studied biology and obtained her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington University. While applying for veterinary school she worked as a veterinary assistant in Cheney, Washington. In 2009 she transitioned from
veterinary assistant to veterinary student and finally veterinarian in 2013 when she graduated from WSU College of Veterinary Medicine. While she did love being on the Palouse, she wanted to return to Western Washington to be closer to her family. Dr. Oronia worked in Sammamish and Puyallup prior to returning to her hometown. She enjoys cultivating relationships with pet owners and working with them to take the best care of their furry family members. When Dr. Oronia is not working, she spends time at home with her husband, two children, and a kitty named Moji. She also enjoys reading, hiking and traveling.

Abbi

Abbi

Veterinary Assistant

Abbi joined our veterinary practice in August of 2024. We are thrilled to have her expertise and skills on our team. Abbi’s passion for animals started at a young age when she learned about Koko, the Western Lowland Gorilla that knew sign language. When she was 7 years old, her family moved from Maryland to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and her fascination with animals grew. Although her ultimate goal is to work in Zoology, she decided to start with small animal medicine. Abbi began her career as a vet assistant in 2021 and finds joy in handling pets, educating clients, and assisting in surgeries. She moved to Washington to be with her partner, who is currently active duty stationed at JBLM. They enjoy exploring the diverse food scene of the Pacific Northwest, attending concerts and comedy clubs, and visiting landmarks like the Space Needle. They share their home with a lively 75-pound lab named Luna Petunia. Abbi is excited about expanding her furry family in the future and hopes to pursue a career in exotic pet care.

Dominique

Dominique

Veterinary Assistant

Dom joined Lake Tapps Veterinary Hospital in March 2024 and quickly became an integral part of our family. She has always had a deep love for animals and has dedicated her life to caring for them. Even as a child, she would take in stray animals and volunteer at shelters. After making a career change from customer service to animal rescue, she worked her way up from animal care to animal transport, even driving all the way to California to bring animals back to Washington for adoption. When she lost her job due to COVID-19, she continued to volunteer, particularly with horses and a donkey at a sanctuary. She eventually worked as a foster coordinator at a kitty rescue but hopes to return to shelter work in the future.
Feeling a strong sense of purpose, she decided to become a vet assistant and found immense joy in learning new skills to help animals heal and recover. She is eager to continue her education and become a vet tech specializing in animal behavior. When she’s not working with animals, she enjoys roller skating and has been involved in roller derby for 13 years.
Now retired from roller derby, she plans to use her free time to volunteer with animals, travel with her partner, and enjoy vacations with her dogs. Dom is looking forward to a fulfilling future where she can continue to advocate for the well-being of animals.
